Walking can be fun!

Me and my amazing other half go on walks all the time, for some reason whilst we are walking we’re most productive. We talk about our excitement to see the world, our plans for travelling, things we still need to do and just general life! Its just nice to get out there in nature where it is just the two of you and just be able to talk about anything that comes to mind!

Plus along with all the talking we get done we even spare time to take in the amazing scenery, we have always loved taking pictures but now we get to share them with our fellow bloggers! ๐Ÿ™‚

This walk in particular is literally on our doorstep so we are quite lucky really! Naturally being close to busy bustling Manchester City centre its nice to have this peaceful escape to nature!

These pictures were taken at the exact same place as each other, in the first one you can see greater Manchester in the distance and the second one is just completely untouched ย always amazes me! ๐Ÿ™‚

Anyways now I’ve shown off our amateur photography skills haha, the walk takes us about an hour and a half! We tested out our new rucksacks that we are planning on bringing travelling with us and so far so good! We brought some snacks and drinks with us it was actually pretty cute!

Here are a few more pictures we took on our journey! We just thought we would share our mini adventure with you guys! You don’t always have to go thousands of miles away from where you live in order to see beautiful sites! ๐Ÿ™‚ oh and don’t let the blue skies fool you it is England and it was freezing LOL! ๐Ÿ™‚

Until next time!

  1. I couldn’t agree more! I see so many students at my university getting the bus to lectures that are a 15 minute walk away and, even though it’s only a short walk, I always look forward to the fresh air and exercise of it! ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. This article made me feel good on two counts: nice to read somebody waxing lyrical about the simple beauty of walking and nice to see some great pics of my homeland (albeit further south). I’m a house-husband / struggling author living in Yokohama, Japan. Our two sons are now old enough to be left alone for a bit while I take a stroll in the evening. The winters around have lovely clear skies and stretching the legs under a bright moon is pretty refreshing. I can gather my thoughts. I do miss British nature though. Cheers, Peter

      1. Hello. We moved here in 2002 so I think many things that should be unusual I just take for granted. It’s like when I used to live in Miadenhead. Walked past Windsor Castle all the time and rarely spared a glance. A Kiwi friend’s father was with us once and he said “I can’t believe you all just walk past that without stopping and having a good look.” Problem when you live somewhere, you can always visit a place “tomorrow”.
